Blas Moros

**Blas Moros** is a builder, reader, and lifelong learner based in San Francisco. He's the oldest of three siblings, son of Karin and Blas Moros, and a Notre Dame grad where he competed as a Division 1 tennis player and captained the team his senior year. After graduating, Blas hit a wall that many elite athletes face: losing the identity, structure, and mastery that sport provides. Rather than filling that void with the default path, he made a deliberate choice to structure his life around things he knew he'd never regret — reading, learning, traveling, and meeting fascinating people. He wasn't a voracious reader growing up (his own admission — he did the minimum, no extra credit, no reading for fun). The curiosity came later, and it came hard. That curiosity became **The Rabbit Hole** (blas.com) — a personal project that grew into one of the most comprehensive independent book summary resources online, with 1,000+ books read, summarized, and synthesized. What started as notes shared with family and friends became a public body of work that reflects a simple but rare commitment: actually doing the reading. The Rabbit Hole led to **The Latticework** (ltcwrk.com) — a more ambitious project inspired by Charlie Munger's concept of a "latticework of mental models." The Latticework is a multidisciplinary learning platform and community built around 160+ mental models drawn from the big ideas across the big disciplines. Blas personally vets every applicant, looking for low-ego, curious, open-minded people. The result is a high-trust, global community of hundreds of partners. The platform includes LatticeGPT, an AI tool that helps members think through ideas, make better decisions, and connect with other partners. Blas's career has spanned finance and tech. He started as a **Financial Services Consultant at Ernst & Young**, then moved into entrepreneurship. He co-founded **Blank** (the Blank App) with Danielle Moros — a daily AI word game where you fill in blanks to create AI-generated images, pitched as "Duolingo for Creativity." Blank went through **a16z's Speedrun** program. He's also served as a **Strategic Growth Advisor at Snapfix**, a SaaS task management company. Most recently, Blas is a cofounder at **Wabi** — the "first personal software platform". Wabi lets users create, discover, and remix mini-apps powered by AI, and has been called the "YouTube of apps." It raised $20M in pre-seed funding and launched in late 2025. From his X posts, Blas appears deeply involved in the product and user learning side — sharing weekly learnings from users and helping educate people on what's possible with personal software. I've angel invested in 30+ funds and start-ups, ranging from biotech to software roll-ups to interactive tiktok. A few themes that run through everything Blas does: **Self-knowledge as the foundation.** His core belief: "Self-knowledge is self-mastery." The transition out of competitive tennis forced him to figure out who he was without the sport, and that reckoning shaped everything after. **Playing infinite games.** Sports are finite — winner and loser. Blas is drawn to infinite games, played for the pure joy of playing. Reading, learning, building community, building products — these are all infinite games to him. **Compounding through consistency.** "There's always gonna be someone more talented, somebody better than you. But are you a little bit better than who you were yesterday?" This isn't motivational poster stuff for Blas — it's an operating principle visible in the sheer volume of work on The Rabbit Hole. **Multidisciplinary thinking.** The entire Latticework project is a bet that the most powerful thinking comes from connecting ideas across disciplines, not specializing in one.
