By accessing or using Human Directory at humandirectory.ai ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Human Directory is a personal website builder that creates profile pages optimized for discovery by large language models (LLMs), AI agents, and search engines. The Service generates public profile pages with structured data, llms.txt files, and machine-readable formats designed for AI consumption.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • One person may not maintain more than one account.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Your Content

4.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). By posting content, you grant Human Directory a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service.

4.2 Public Nature of Profiles

You understand and agree that profile pages are publicly accessible by design. Your profile content will be:

  • Visible to anyone on the internet.
  • Crawlable and indexable by search engines and AI systems (including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity).
  • Published in machine-readable formats (structured data, llms.txt) specifically designed for AI discoverability.

4.3 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for Your Content. You agree not to post content that:

  • Is false, misleading, or impersonates another person.
  • Infringes on intellectual property rights of any third party.
  • Contains malicious code, spam, or unauthorized advertising.
  • Is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Violates any applicable law or regulation.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service except through our published APIs and machine-readable endpoints.
  • Create profiles for the purpose of misleading AI systems or manipulating search results.
  • Use the Service to engage in SEO spam, keyword stuffing, or other manipulative practices.

6. AI & Machine-Readable Data

Human Directory generates machine-readable representations of your profile (including structured data, llms.txt, and agent.json) to facilitate AI discovery. You acknowledge that:

  • We cannot control how third-party AI systems use, interpret, or present your profile data once it has been crawled.
  • AI-generated summaries or responses about you may not always be accurate or up to date.
  • Removal of your profile from our Service does not guarantee removal from AI training data or cached responses.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by Human Directory and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to the Service, other users, or third parties. Upon termination:

  • Your profile will be removed from the Service.
  • Your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
  • We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that:

  • Your profile will appear in any specific AI system or search engine.
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
  • AI systems will accurately represent your profile information.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Human Directory and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or reputation, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Human Directory from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
